I am as most call me a ‘music freak’. I am not just one who hears to certain genres or certain albums. I listen to music of every type that is played around me, and just like everything, that sounds music to me. I was very thrilled when a travel to Moroccowas arranged. I had already read about the great music festivals and the different types of music that can be heard around Morocco.
The Great Collection!
We often have collection of albums in our music rack but Morocco seemed to be a country with a collection of diverse varieties of music! There was no genre that they can be associated to, but they belonged to certain traditions and cultures of people. The morocco in essence was a land, which had the best of mixes of cultures. The cultural mix was due to, as a guide told us, the number of ancient invasions and cultural intermingling that had taken place.
The Music Festival!
The Gnaoua music that was performed by the Gnaoua people enthralled us, and the Guedra dance made the entire crowd watching it to become lively with dance. There was the sacred Music festival that we attended and it was what I like most, I wanted to be there the whole day. The music ranging from the Indian to the French were all there and the sacred music was just awesome to the ears. I liked the Egyptian odes very much and I am still hearing to what I had recorded of it. I think any music lover should visit Morocco once in his lifetime.
In addition, another important aspect is that the travel which was arranges by the Sahara soul travel was perfect in every aspect, mainly because of their great planning. They completely made the Morocco Travel my best experience.
