If you think Casablanca is an overrated option for a great vacation in Morocco, then think about exploring Rabat. You probably have never heard of it, but Rabat is for tourists who are looking for a town-garden. However, it is an authentic town andshould be in the itinerary of your Morocco adventure travel.
Villa Mandarine
I was there last week in Rabat and I would say that my experience there has been one of peaceful content. Nevertheless, I tend to think that my experience was enhanced because I stayed at the Villa Mandarine. Thanks to Sahara Soul! You cannot find it within the city proper. It is actually a bit out of the way but its distance from the city is conveniently near enough. Yet, it is also far enough to make you feel as if that you are in a resort.
The rooms at the Villa Mandarine gather around an open and central courtyard with exotic plants. It is actually set in a garden with big orange trees. A swimming pool serves as the main piece of the garden.
See another side of Morocco too!
The Villa Mandarine does come out as a villa garden and indeed, it is. If you want to see another side of Morocco, the regular town side of it and not the World Heritage side, then you should go to Rabat. Morocco travel information should have something on it. The hotel is a bit out of the way – you need to ride a car or a taxi to get there.
In Rabat, there is no other notable hotel in the area except for the Villa Mandarine. It is not a small hotel; however, business travelers have praised it because it feels like home. It is not surprising. The villa features a large park with an orange tree grove and a swimming pool. There are large sitting areas that make you whiff that fresh garden air.
